Jordan Taylor may be hooping on the other side of the Atlantic these days, but he will always be remembered and rooted in Madison. As a Badgers standout, Jordan was an All-American and all-Big Ten, and frequented the watch lists for the Cousy, Wooden and Naismith trophies. In his junior campaign, he was a walking bucket at more than 18 points per game. After Wisconsin, basketball took Jordan all around the world to Italy, Israel, Germany, Turkey, France, Romania, Japan and now the United Kingdom.
Jon Leuer is a four-year Badgers letterman who played for five different NBA franchises during his pro career. Though he was born in Minnesota, Jon was Wisconsin-stamped in his first-ever Big Ten game, a 25-point rampage on nearly perfect shooting against rival Michigan. After a sterling college career, highlighted by a trip to the Sweet Sixteen and recognition in the conference’s all-academic team, he suited up for the Suns, Bucks, Cavs, Pistons and Grizzlies. From showing the world his juggling talent on Inside the NBA to posterizing prime Boogie Cousins, Jon was something of a folk hero in the pros. He announced his retirement from the game in 2020.
