Stu Douglass is an American-Israeli Michigan alum who set a Wolverines record for most consecutive games played. A three-point specialist, Stu is perhaps most revered in Ann Arbor for his clutch shot over hated rival Michigan State, a bucket credited with “shifting the trajectory of Michigan basketball.” He played in five NCAA Tournament games and was a team captain for Michigan’s first Big Ten title campaign in 26 years.
DeShawn Sims is a proud Wolverine-turned-globetrotting pro hooper. He has suited up in Italy, Greece, South Korea, Lebanon, Israel and Puerto Rico, and was the NBA Development League’s Rookie of the Year in 2011. Known around campus as “Peedi,” DeShawn led the Big Ten in offensive rebounding as a senior and won fans over with his thunderous blocks on the defensive end. He scored a career-high 29 points in a win over Purdue in 2009.
